Job Description

Due to significant contract awards within our ANZ Water business, we are looking for an

experienced Design Manager – Dams to join our team.

These awards bring a secure 10-year pipeline of work and with AECOM’s flexibility, you can base yourself in any of our offices in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Brisbane.

What Will A Day In This Role Look Like

Utilise your dams expertise, leadership, coordination and communication

skills to successfully engage and guide project delivery teams, whilst working with closely with end clients and contractors You will be responsible for overall design delivery including having the ultimate carriage on any design project decisions Ensure dams projects are delivered within the constraints of quality, time and budget Work collaboratively with leaders across our ANZ team for delivery of the projects, as well as assisting with project resourcing and business initiatives.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based in Louisville, KY to support our highways / roadways team. Candidates throughout Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky are encouraged to apply!

This role will provide the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. This project is one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country and entails design and construction of existing bridge improvements and a new bridge crossing of the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington Kentucky, along with 8 miles of significant highway improvements. Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, providing a unique opportunity for multiple career-defining roles on the project. This full-time position will support our bridge practice out of our Kentucky office. This career enhancing position will involve performing transportation structure design analysis, including plan preparation of structures in the Midwest and exposure and contributing to project work throughout the Western U.S.

This important role offers participation in a variety of challenging projects and a dynamic work environment due to the number, type and size of bridges that make up the vast portfolio of the

experienced bridge group this engineer will be joining.

The Job

responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications and cost estimate for transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, and drainage structures. Provide load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations. Use current engineering design software. Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines. Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an

experienced engineer. Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered. Identify discrepancies in results. Provide guidance to entry level engineers. Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Professional engineering related work environment with heavy emphasis on design of highway bridges. PE licensure. BS, MS in Civil Engineering and 8+ years of related

experience. Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as Civil3D, Microstation, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD, AASHTOWare etc. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, develop technical reports and document client communications.
