Investment Fund Accountant

Aon is looking for an Investment Fund Accountant in Chicago, IL

Aon Investments manages money for large institutional investors using a set of proprietary funds. We are looking for some entry level accountants who want to build a career in asset management. The accountants will work in a dynamic environment that values funds, delivers reporting, and provides all required compliance filings.

Responsibilities

Gather financial information from external sources and calculate the appropriate data needed for the funds to operate, including: Daily, monthly, and quarterly net asset valuesPrepare financial statements for investment fundsTracking and issuing capital calls for alternative investments Build models that ensure the funds are operating within the guidelines, including: Calculating expense accruals and adjust as necessaryPay fund expenses Compile data and respond to inquiries from third parties for compliance filings with regulatory bodies, auditors, and investorsProvide ad-hoc reporting on the underlying investments for the purpose of paying feesInteract with portfolio managers and custodians to communicate status and clearly raise issuesDrive enhancements and innovations on existing processes and implement new processes for new funds and

responsibilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a business related major0-1+ years of accounting or finance

experienceAdvanced proficiency in MS ExcelHigh attention to detail for compiling complex financial informationA genuine interest in the financial services industryThe ability to learn new specialty applications and portalsOutstanding communication

skills to interact with various stakeholders
