Our client, a Real Estate firm based in Boston, MA, is hiring a General Manager with mixed-use

experience to join their growing team.

Overview

The General Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, guidance, and support to a dynamic property operations team. The primary focus is on effectively managing a large urban mixed-use development, ensuring superior customer service, and optimizing asset value. This General Manager role involves collaborative efforts to devise long-term strategies, formulate annual business plans, and manage operating budgets efficiently.

Responsibilities Of The General Manager

Conduct bi-weekly meetings with all managers to ensure alignment and foster team cohesion Facilitate new office and retail tenant orientations to ensure smooth onboarding processes Conduct quarterly meetings with office tenants to address any concerns and gather feedback Review and provide constructive feedback on annual surveys from retail and office tenants Analyze residential survey results in collaboration with all managers to identify areas for improvement Lead recruitment and selection processes for any open positions within the team Perform semi-annual performance reviews for all direct reports, offering guidance and support Review and approve performance reviews conducted by the Assistant General Manager and Service Manager Implement and sustain associate retention initiatives to foster a positive work environment Cultivate and leverage vendor partnerships to optimize operational efficiency Monitor pricing in YieldStar on a daily basis to ensure competitiveness and profitability Develop annual budgets and staffing plans, including business and capital improvement plans Monitor key performance indicators such as occupancy, leasing percentage, pricing, and renewals to drive revenue growth Review and approve monthly financial statement variances, ensuring financial stability Evaluate bids from the Service Manager for vendors and negotiate pricing to optimize cost-effectiveness Oversee the processing of building insurance claims to minimize financial impact Approve all invoices and contracts promptly to maintain operational efficiency Manage vacation time, paid time off, incentive plans, and bonus payouts for all associates Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all managed areas to ensure consistency and efficiency Produce and/or review all required reports, including leasing reports, CAM reconciliation reports, and financial statements Attend or conduct various meetings, including management team meetings, budget process meetings, and monthly financial statement reviews Maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals

Qualifications For The General Manager

Sales

experience and/or real estate leasing

experience required Essential: Property management and leasing

experience Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership

skills are necessary Preferred

experience with Yardi, MRI, YieldStar, and LevelOne Ability to interpret, evaluate, and communicate detailed instructions accurately and efficiently Capability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 15 pounds for various office/facility tasks

Requirements

College Degree In Real Estate Or A Business-related Field Is Preferred
