Litigation Paralegal

At Bochner PLLC we are looking for a highly motivated and organized Entry Level Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team! This position requires 1-2 years

experience with New York State Court litigation practice and knowledge of filings, the CPLR, and general best practices when it comes to New York State Court.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation matters.Perform administrative

duties such as calendaring hearings and proactively managing deadlines, organizing case files, managing logistics, etc.Prepare, organize, and file documents with State Court systems such as pleadings and motions (primarily in New York (NYSCEF); additional states include, but are not limited to, New Jersey, Florida, and California).Prepare materials and exhibits for depositions, mediations, and trials.Perform relevant search queries and documentation review during discovery process.Keen attention to detail; discretion in dealing with highly sensitive information.Maintaining positive relations with clients and co-workers and contributing to the self-directed team structure to assist with overflow and specialized tasks within guidelines set by the firm.

Minimum

requirements:Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required.At least 1-2 years of

experience as a paralegal.At least 1-2 years of

experience with New York State Court required.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro required.Excellent time management

skills and ability to work in high pressure environments; ability to shift priorities quickly without compromising deadlines or quality.Ability to be proactive and to identify and address problems quickly.Excellent clerical

skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently.Ability to perform all essential

duties.
