We are searching for a collaborative and detail-oriented person to join the California Health Care Foundation (CHCF) as our next Human Resources Generalist. In this pivotal role, you will be central to executing a diverse array of HR functions. Partnering closely with the Human Resources Manager and Chief Talent Officer (CTO), your efforts will be crucial in advancing our DEI initiatives, enhancing talent management, and ensuring a smooth payroll and
benefits administration process. Also, your expertise in organizational development and learning initiatives will be instrumental in shaping the foundation's culture.
Position
OverviewAs an HR generalist, you'll be an essential member of our HR team, collaborating closely with the human resources manager and chief talent officer (CTO) to execute a wide array of HR functions. This role spans a diverse range of
responsibilities, from championing DEI initiatives to coordinating talent management activities, payroll administration, and organizational development. Your impact will extend to supporting HRIS and learning initiatives, ensuring policy compliance, and enhancing talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
This is a full-time exempt position that reports to the CTO. This employee will be based in our Oakland office and must work in the office two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Responsibilities
Payroll,
Benefits, and PolicyProcess full-cycle payroll, addressing any discrepancies and ensuring timely and accurate payments.Support the administration of employee benefit programs, maintaining accurate records and aiding employees in understanding
benefits options.Ensure adherence to HR policies and regulations by supporting compliance training and policy audits.Collaborate with HR manager to evaluate and improve benefit packages, ensuring they align with employees’ needs and organizational goals.
HRIS, Learning, and DevelopmentManage and maintain the learning management system, overseeing content, user access, and records to facilitate seamless learning
experiences.Collaborate with the chief talent officer and human resources manager to analyze data, aid in the implementation of retention strategies, and enhance employee development opportunities.Assist in organizing in-house training initiatives, contributing to the design and delivery of impactful learning
experiences.Support ongoing learning and development programs, ensuring employees have access to resources that foster professional growth.
Talent Management and Organizational DevelopmentAssist in maintaining up-to-date position descriptions that clearly outline roles and
responsibilities, ensuring organizational clarity.Contribute to talent development initiatives by coordinating training sessions and workshops that align with organizational goals.Collaborate with human resources manager on performance standards, aiding in their implementation and monitoring for continuous improvement.Play a role in facilitating organizational changes by supporting communication efforts and fostering smooth transitions for employees.
Employee Engagement and OnboardingContribute to enhancing employee engagement by assisting in the planning and conducting of engagement surveys and check-ins.Support wellness initiatives aimed at enhancing employees’ overall well-being and work-life balance.Collaborate with the human resources manager to conduct effective onboarding orientation and training sessions for new employees.
Diversity, Equity, and InclusionSupport talent acquisition by implementing strategies for diverse candidate sourcing, enhancing our commitment to equity and inclusion.Collaborate with the chief talent officer and human resources manager to integrate DEI principles into talent acquisition procedures, ensuring a fair and equitable hiring process.Contribute to fostering a culture of inclusion through various engagement initiatives, helping create an environment where diverse voices are heard and valued.Help to promote allyship and

Minimum
Qualificationsat Least Three Years Of Progressive
experience in roles that demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities. This includes, but is not limited to, human resources, talent management, operations, project management, and administrative support roles. We are particularly interested in candidates with at least one year of direct
experience in
benefits administration, employee relations, or similar functions within an organization or in roles that require significant use of database management, analytics, or budget oversight.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving
skills within a business or project management context.Proven ability to manage Human Resources databases, analyze workforce data, and implement system optimizations.Effective in multitasking, with a strong capability to prioritize and manage various projects.Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to administrative and task efficiency.High discretion with sensitive information and sound judgment in confidential matters.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a capacity for quickly learning new tech systems.Financial literacy to understand and oversee HR budgeting components.Excellent communicator with a dedication to inclusivity and staff development.

Experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or a related field is a plus.Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is advantageous.Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, HRIS systems) is beneficial.Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Salary And
Benefitsthe Full
salary range for this position is $95,200 to $142,800, with a firm starting
salary of $112,000. The foundation provides a generous
