Position
SUMMARYThe Senior Accountant is a highly accountable and results-oriented professional who is ready to hit the ground running by providing support to the organization’s Accounting department by managing daily accounting and finance tasks. The goal of this position is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Accounting team and help our Executive Team to understand the organization’s financial condition, allowing the correct decisions to be made in order for the organization to accomplish long-term success and scalable growth. This individual will ensure that reports are designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s financial results, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

OBJECTIVESWork with the Accounting team to ensure the accuracy of entries Collaborate with departments within the organization to gather, analyze, and interpret any relevant financial informationManages and oversees timely and accurate processing and recording of all financial transactions in Subsidiaries ledgers and sub-ledgers, including general ledger, banking, revenue and billing, cash receipt, accounts payable, and fixed assetsEnsures all Subsidiary accounts (assets, liabilities, revenue, expense) are reconciled and are in balance between related entities on a monthly basisOversees performance of month-end close processes by Subsidiaries and ensures the preparation and submission of any required financial reports to support senior management teams of Subsidiary companiesPrepare account reconciliations as well as analyze any discrepanciesPrepare and maintain amortization schedulesRegular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accountsSupport the Accounting team with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processesIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controlsAct as Partnership Stakeholder when necessaryPerform other accounting
duties and support staff members as required
COMPETENCIESKnowledge of Accounting Systems/apps (Excel/Google sheets, QBO, NetSuite, Great Plains, SAP, etc)Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Procedures (GAAP)Ability to compile and analyze financial informationUnderstanding of how to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, document and research business transactionsDemonstrate high level of attention to detail to avoid or catch potential errors across financial statementsCoordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departmentsKnowledge of best practices for performing month-end closings Ability to track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedulesAbility to work with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
Education And
EXPERIENCEBA/BS or equivalent in accounting or any related field5+ years of
experience in an Accounting management role
