Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Director of Land Acquisition & Development. The Director of Land Acquisition & Development will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition, development, and land use for suitable project sites for Clean Shift Energy projects. The role will involve collaborating with internal and external teams, engaging local stakeholders, managing contracts, and conducting due diligence. Some work from home is acceptable.
SUMMARY OF ROLE: Under the supervision of the CEO, the Director of Land Acquisitions & Development has the following areas of responsibility: · Core Responsibility: Oversee the advancement of NARENCO’s current 2 GW greenfield project development pipeline. Grow the pipeline via the addition of new, high-quality greenfield projects. · Project Development: The Director of Land Development will be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the land development is completed. Including: · Landowner relationship management· Lease, easement, and purchase option negotiation and execution· Real Estate – Title & Survey· Zoning Approvals – Re-zoning, Special/Conditional Use Permits, state filings· Property Tax Agreements· Ancillary local agreements as needed, e.g., road use agreements, good neighbor agreements, etc. · Real Estate Development: Oversee internal and external land acquisition and development resources to execute on the company’s greenfield projects and growth goals. · Financing Coordination: Support the NARENCO project finance team with the necessary documentation to successfully attract permanent third-party capital to fund projects at the completion of project development.· M&A: Support the company’s acquisition of development projects to supplement its greenfield pipeline. · Communication: The Director of Land Development is expected to keep senior management up to date on project and pipeline status. Minimum
QUALIFICATIONS: · Minimum of 6+ years of professional real estate
experience· Track record of success developing utility-scale renewable energy, preferably solar, projects;· Management
experience preferred;· Bachelors degree required, advanced degree preferred;· Effective communication
skills both written and oral with a variety of stakeholders from rural landowners to C-suite executives;· Extremely organized;· Self-motivated with superior time management
skills;· Technologically savvy and proficient with PC
skills including the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as, Google Workspace applications; · Ethical behavior complementary to the Company goals and brand image;· Able to demonstrate a responsive, service-oriented approach to listening and responding to internal and external stakeholder requests, concerns and interests;· Able to communicate status of work activities and risks/issues with peers and management as each relate to project likelihood of success and deliverability;· Has strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving
skills with consistent ability to deliver detail oriented, accurate and thorough work product;· Possess positive team spirit and inspire same in co-workers; and,· Compliance with Company processes, systems and controls.

salary: Commensurate with
