Role Overview & Specifications

GENERAL DESCRIPTIONResponsible and accountable for the smooth running of CROFT’s computer and information systems within the limits of

requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of CROFT’s information technology needs.

KEY ROLESProvide IT support for all of CROFT’s Windows based computer systems as well as several Android Tablets and iPads.As a key member of the CROFT Operations Team, work with all departments and staff in a collaborative and productive manner.

Duties &

RESPONSIBILITIESUnder limited supervision, support CROFT’s computer systemsEnsure the security of company and client data, network access and backup systemsAct in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to company policyAudit systems and assess their outcomesPreserve assets, information security and control structuresProvide input regarding the annual IT budget. Ensure cost effectiveness and manage operations to the approved budget al

location.Represent the firm and adhere to the CROFT core valuesEffectively work with IT vendor relationshipsInstall PCs, wireless networks, and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile phones) related to desktop infrastructure, in accordance with company standardsProvides advice and guidance to colleagues regarding desktop incidents/issuesMaintain installed PCs, networks, and peripherals with routine maintenanceIdentify, log, and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systemsIdentify potential changes and system improvements to present to the leadership team for consideration and implementationEnsure that work is carried out within agreed upon service levels and in accordance with company

requirementsCreate, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to senior leadership as requestedWork with Cloud based and non-Cloud-based systemsExplain and document technical issues/concerns in a clear way to leadersAs the company and number of users grow, develop and use a call logging system to accurately record and resolve desktop service requestsOther related

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years of relevant IT work

experienceB.S. Degree in Information Technology, MIS or similar field, preferredProficient understanding of computer support and troubleshooting, knowledge of Microsoft products and the ability to absorb desktop applications commonly used in architecture and engineering fieldsAbility to work in a team environment and prioritize projects and assignmentsStrong verbal and written communication

skillsProven problem-solving capabilityAbility to multi-task and effectively move from one IT issue to the next

WORKING CONDITIONSWorks in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job

duties outside of the typical office setting.

Physical

REQUIREMENTSStand or Sit or Lift - Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% and lift to 25 lbs.Walk - Person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, cabinets, office machinery, etc. and outside the office to client meetings, job site visits, etc.Use hands/fingers to handle or feel - Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a PC, calculator, copy machine, etc.Talk / Hear - Person in this position frequently communicates with staff and vendors who have IT needs/inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
