RESPONSIBILITIES: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your

duties may vary depending on the site you are working. School Security Officers will focus on building positive relationships with teachers, students, and parents to aid in the effort to give all children a safe environment for learning and growth opportunities. School Security Officers will need to have excellent communication and mediating

skills.

Responsibilities May Include

Access Control - Ensure only authorized individuals are allowed access to the site and ensuring vehicles leaving facilities are not leaving with unauthorized goods and materials.Foot Patrol - Walk the interior and exterior of the various buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.Monitor Parking Areas-Traffic Control for key pick up and drop off timesEvent Security -Provide a safe environment for after school athletic events and meetings.

Success As A Security Officer At Dk Security Will Look Like

Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.Must be willing to become CPR/1 st Aide/AED CertifiedMust have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 yearsLess than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 yearsNo other major violations in the last 3 years.Physical

Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairsMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsMust be readily able to respond to emergency situationsAbility to work independently with little or no supervision.
