Summary

We’re seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer (PE) who understands how to thrive and grow inside an interactive & dynamic team where safety, quality, creativity, and continuous improvement are paramount. Your background is proven in project management (mechanical projects), coupled with an outgoing personality and strong interpersonal communication

skills.

In this pivotal role, drawing upon your wealth of product and business acumen acquired throughout your career, the Project Engineer is entrusted with the seamless execution of Ingersoll Rand MSG Centrifugal Orders. This role presents a unique opportunity for continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing not only the team's performance but also the overall success of the business and personal professional growth.

The Project Engineer will help provide guidance to the Engineering Design teams, ensuring the successful completion of projects while maintaining adherence to project

requirements throughout the lifecycle of customer orders and improvement projects. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Design teams, and cross-functional partners in Operations and Manufacturing, they will foster a culture of cross-functional success and unwavering customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include actively participating in internal and external kick-off meetings, managing customer communications, and facilitating technical discussions with Design Engineering, customers, and suppliers to refine project scopes effectively.

As a key player, the Project Engineer will help to spearhead and execute projects aimed at enhancing our efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities. Through these endeavors, we aim to solidify our position in the market and exceed the expectations of our valued customers.

Ideally Bringing Mechanical Design Engineering

experience, you have the demonstrated capacity for self-direction and adeptness in leading technical discussions with both customers and internal teams. Your prior design

experience will help equip you with the technical expertise required to articulate intricate details about compressor subsystems to inquisitive and discerning customers. Meanwhile, your business acumen will serve as a compass, navigating you towards decisions that align with the best interests of both Ingersoll Rand and our valued customers, ensuring an exceptional customer

experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and guide the execution of several customer and improvement projects by tracking scope and schedule Lead and coordinate efforts of supporting engineering functions, e.g., Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering.

Basic

Qualifications

Education: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, other engineering disciplines considered. 3 years of mechanical design engineering

experience preferred Conduct or participate in technical reviews of

requirements, specifications, designs, code, and standards. Perform mental tasks such as critical decision making, organizing many topics, prioritizing work to align with business objectives, and exercising good judgment Demonstrate ability to cope with stress, change and pressure - while maintaining a pleasant and cooperative manner. Competency in industrial machinery, general project management, industrial equipment specifications, and documentation workflows. Basic familiarity with the major subsystems and parts of a compressor including the gearbox, lubrication system, intercoolers, controls, and accessories. The incumbent may be asked to give assistance in completing a proposal or communicate a topic involving this content to the customer. Excellent communication

skills and the ability to develop working relationships with co-workers, suppliers, and customers are essential. SAP and Teamcenter knowledge are a plus. Relevant

experience specific to compression industry is a plus

Travel & Work Arrangements

Position works onsite Travel domestic and internationally up to 20%
