Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Senior Quality Representative - Onshore HVDC Cables. The Senior Quality Representative will be responsible for QA Surveillance and auditing of onshore HVDC cable projects. This is a hybrid role located in North Charleston region, SC, with flexibility for some remote work.
Specific
DutiesMonitor the manufacturing process of HVDC cables, overseeing all stages from raw material selection to final product assembly.Review the implementation of supplier manufacturing procedures and quality control protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory
requirements.Conduct thorough inspections and testing of HVDC cables throughout the production process, utilizing advanced techniques and equipment to identify any defects or anomalies.Assist in the investigation of cable defects in identifying root cause and assist in improving production processes after defect evaluationParticipate in cable testing during and after cable production. This includes participation in any disassembly activities to examine cables and their accessories
QualificationsQuality Control, Quality Auditing, and Analytical
SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
experience.Minimum of 10+ years of
experience in HVDC cable manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on quality control and inspection processes.Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and standards related to HVDC cable design and manufacturing
Experience in the energy sector, specifically with large-scale complex projectsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal
skillsAbility to work independently and in a teamAttention to detail and ability to prioritize tasksRelevant certifications and
qualifications in quality management

Start date: Q3/Q4 2024 to Q3 2026This is a contract role with 2 to 3 days per week coverage
