Requirements: Must Be Licensed

Veterinary Technicians must have a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology and sufficient mathematical

skills to ensure the administration of accurate drug and fluid doses. They must be able to successfully restrain animals, complete clinical laboratory tests, use multiple radiology techniques, administer and monitor animals under anesthesia, assist in surgery, and perform dental procedures. Technicians must also deliver compassionate nursing care. Lead positions must exemplify our hospital's core values and use their role as a leader to movtivate and empower their team with professionalism, patience, and positivity.

Personal And Physical

We Offer Flexible

work schedules. Most schedules are four 10 hour shifts weekly (with potential for earlier leave time on your surgery days), alternating Saturdays (when needed), closed Sundays

Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds unassisted

Must possess sufficient strength and assertiveness to effectively restrain patients

Must Be Able To Be On Feet A Minimum Of Eight Hours Per Day

Must Be Able To Handle Dogs On Leashes

Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions

Must have strong emotional intelligence, communication & interpersonal

skills

Must Possess A Love Of Animals And Patience When Handling Pets

Must Display A Professional Manner At All Times

Education

High School Graduate Or Equivalent

Current Veterinary Technician License (lvt) Required

Job Type
