Position Description

Summer Opportunity to work June through August 2024

Under direct supervision, provide support to social behavioral research and curriculum assessments, to inform and understand sustainability and environmental issues affecting the health of citizens.

Primary Functions

Collaboration on seminar series, conferences, and community engagement activitiesAs requested and available, participate in meetings to discuss above outlined deliverablesDrafting newsletter contentConducting clinical research related to sustainability, quality improvement, or specific disease states exacerbated by environmental factorsAdditional support for the research and curricular work outlined in the planning year proposalReview published literature and research topics as requested to help develop topic summaries, or other needed informational products to be used for policy development, departmental advising, or public messaging

Skills – Abilities

Knowledge of data interpretation and analyses, evaluation of published literature, documentation, and records management.

Medical Student in good standing at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Education: Candidates must be current students working toward an MD or PhD and interested in providing support to social behavioral research and curriculum assessments, and understand sustainability and environmental issues affecting the health of citizens.

Students must be able to provide independent transportation to and from MCW, and legally authorized to work in the United States.
