The Microbiologist I position will be responsible for performing in vitro biocompatibility testing in support of ISO 10993-1 compliant biological evaluations. The Microbiologist will also support quality assurance and data reporting for the In Vitro Laboratory.
This position will work individually and as part of a team to complete testing in a timely manner with a focus on excellent customer service.

Responsibilities May Include The Following And Other
Duties May Be Assigned
Responsible for performing MEM Elution Cytotoxicity, In Vitro Irritation (RhE Model) testing, and/or other in vitro biocompatibility testing in support of ISO 10993-1 compliant biological evaluations.Accountable for specific test data and will train on specific lab tests.Responsible for data acquisition and reporting in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).Performs testing to meet ISO, EN, USP, and ASTM standards for biocompatibility testing.Accountable for knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Regulatory
requirements applicable to biocompatibility testing.Follows standard operating procedures and maintains technical knowledge of laboratory tasks.Supports GLP testing and laboratory audits (ISO 17025, FDA).All other
duties as assigned.
Basic
Qualifications
Expertise in Cell CultureExpertise in plate based assays (ELISAs, colorimetric, etc.)Expertise in LIMS systemWorking knowledge of ISO 17025 and 21 CFR part 58
Experience Operating Within Quality System
requirements of regulations applicable to the medical device industry or a CRO
