Location: 3910 W Stewart Ave, Wausau, WI 54401
Working Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. Subject to change.
Educational
REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree with professional designations preferred or equivalent
education and work
experience. LIFTING
REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., including the use of a ladder for inspection and in settlement of a claim. OTHER JOB
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires some overnight travel. A valid driver’s license is required.

SUMMARYAs a Field Claims Representative, you will investigate and evaluate insurance claims related to property, casualty, or other covered incidents. You will work on-site (primarily in the Green Bay & Fox Valley area), conducting inspections, gathering information, and assessing the extent of damage to facilitate fair and timely claims settlements. This role requires a combination of analytical, communication, and customer service
skills, as you will interact with insureds, claimants and other relevant parties.
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring fair and efficient claims settlements, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the insurance company.

Primary
RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze, review, negotiate, and settle property claims of varying complexity in a thorough manner with minimal supervision.Perform on-site inspections to determine scope of loss, including roof damage evaluation.Establish and monitor reserves to adequately reflect the exposure, making appropriate changes as the file develops.Focus on outstanding customer service towards all customers internal and external.Examine policy coverage forms and other records to determine insurance coverage.Clear and effective communications with all management by providing positive feedback to help make all departments succeed.Clear documentation for all files meeting or exceeding our guidelines and procedures.Assist in any additional area needed as the volume changes.Provide after-hours service as needed.Respond to communication promptly and per department and company guidelines.Frequent face-to-face interaction with insureds, claimants, preferred contractors/vendors, public adjusters, experts, and agents. ADDITIONAL
DUTIES:Participate on catastrophe teams (inside and outside of the regularly assigned region).Perform a minimum of two agency visits a month to discuss positive direction for claims and contacts for the agents.Assist in training opportunities for the claims department as requested.Provide leadership within the company, to assist in approving levels of subrogation recoveries, fraud detection and claim cost mitigation. Experience in Xactimate is a plus.
