Optomi, in partnership with a leader in fintech, is seeking an
experienced API Engineer to join their growing team. This candidate will be responsible for building out a new B2B SaaS platform and have the desire to grow personally and professionally. The ideal candidate will be skilled in NodeJS, GraphQL, and TypeScript with cloud
experience in AWS.
Requirements:3+ years of demonstrable
experience working with back-end technologies, preferably NodeJS.3+ years of proven back-end
experience designing, building, and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs in a production-level environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment.Solid understanding of database technologies such as SQL and relational database schema design.
Experience with Typescript.
Experience with distributed systems, data stores, data modeling, indexing and associated trade-offs.Proficient in developing and interacting with APIs.
Responsibilities:Participate in application discovery, design, and implementation activities.Document application dataflow, source data, data consumers, integrations, data usage, user roles & entitlements.Architect efficient and reusable code that drives user
experience.Maintain and update code according to new features and platforms.Create and execute test cases according to standards – manual and automated.Develop tools to improve quality.Work closely with the application teams, Business and Product Management teams during product development from fact-finding/discovery, design to release.Troubleshoot and support system and application problems.Understand business
requirements and translate them into technical
requirements.Use visual designs to develop user-facing responsive web applications using React.Work on CI/CD pipelines under assistance.
