Director of Maintenance Services

Job Description:To lead, plan, assign, supervise, and coordinate the work of all maintenance staff including the maintenance work order and the facility use management systems.To coordinate with the Director of Design and Construction for in-house construction of selected capital outlay projects.To plan and develop a long-term maintenance programs and prepare estimates on time, material, and labor costsTo inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine repair needs, using the Facility Condition Assessment.To supervise repair of selected school board real property.To interview applicants, submit payrolls, keep records, and inventory equipment for the maintenance department.To submit purchase orders and approve and charge all invoices to the schools for maintenance supplies and work performed.To provide leadership and coordination with principals and custodians as to the maintenance and preventative maintenance of school plants.To request and review bids and purchases for, conduct maintenance on, and take inventory of all maintenance equipment and supplies.To lead a team of energy managers responsible for prudent consumption of district-wide energy usage and development of strategies to achieve savings and to monitor utility usage.To direct and control portable management plan for the district to include hook-ups, renovations, repairs, disconnections, and removals.To direct and control the administration of maintenance of buildings and grounds, and turf fields, including the setting of quality operational standards, training and supervision of procurement, and distributing of equipment and supplies.To manage e-Builder process relative to maintenance, sales tax and capital.To manage all assigned maintenance projects in e-Builder.To keep the Chief Facilities Officer informed of all issues about which he/she should be aware.To perform other

duties as assigned by Chief Facilities Officer.

Qualifications,

skills and

experience:Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of

experience in a supervisory/leadership role in maintenance and/or construction or associates degree plus seven (7) years of

experience in a supervisory/leadership role in maintenance and/or construction.Current Florida State certified general/commercial contractor license preferred.

Salary range: $89,300 to $129,450
