Role Overview & Specifications

Seeking proven Energy Management Professionals to work full-time on-site as a Resource Efficiency Manager(REM). Located at Arlington National Cemetery, VA.

Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to pass a National Agency Check or SF-85P (NACI).

Secret clearance not required. Must be willing to get certification as a Certified Energy Manager within 1 year of employment. Assistance provided.

Duties-Resource Efficiency Manager(REM)

Working on numerous energy management projects, this role carries out a broad range of energy engineering tasks in backing for our countrywide REM initiative. The main areas of attention will be:

Energy, water and resource efficiency project feasibility analysis Measurement and Verification (M&V) of savings Alternative financing project facilitation Supply-side cost reduction Energy awareness promotion Operations and Maintenance (O&M) efficiency enhancement New technology utilization, especially involving renewable energy sources

The Resource Efficiency Manager(REM) shall work to accomplish these goals by:

Supporting facility repair and construction activities Providing design review comments Project management support Identification of energy savings projects Construction coordination and oversight Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) projects Energy Conservation Investment Program (ECIP) projects

Qualifications-Resource Efficiency Manager(REM).

The Rem Must Possess A Minimum Of One Of The Following

4 year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) from an accredited institution and/or Professional Engineering License with a minimum of 5 years of

experience in energy management An Environmental Science, Business or related degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 8 years’

experience in energy management 2-year technical degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 10 years

experience in energy management Non-degreed with a minimum of 12 years’

experience in energy management *U.S. citizenship is required

Skills And Abilities-Resource Efficiency Manager(REM)

Express ideas clearly both orally and in writing Strive for proactive, autonomous completion of challenging technical tasks. Proficiency in social interactions The ability to work with energy analysis software such Trane Traced, HAP, E-Quest, etc., as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint. Create and implement a program to raise energy awareness in federal sites and private sector buildings.
