Trail Ridge Power works with national commercial and industrial partners to create portfolio-wide energy transition solutions for their sustainability needs. We originate, design, develop, finance, own and operate renewable energy assets on a stand-alone basis but also in conjunction with energy efficiency technologies to help our partners reach their net-zero carbon goals. These assets include solar PV generation, battery storage, fuel cells, building controls, and other cleantech offerings to provide on-premises or local generation solutions as well as a load control and curtailment. We are seeking a Senior Director of Development Engineering to bring a creative and entrepreneurial approach to creating unique renewable energy solutions for our clients. If you are an

The Senior Director of Development Engineering will preferably be based in the Palo Alto/surrounding area, CA, but Boulder, CO and Cambridge, MA are also possible

locations. Hybrid or fully remote work may be considered depending on the candidate and business needs.

You Will:Report to the Chief Technology OfficerServe as a player-coach, contributing directly to design and engineering of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and cleantech projects as well as managing third-party consulting engineersOversee contracted engineering firms as the "Owner's engineer"Collaborate with the CTO to create and maintain all technical

requirements for design and commissioningEstablish design and Engineering equipment and construction standardsCollaborate with development and finance to assess potential projects feasibility and construction complexityWork hand-in-hand with the contract management team to develop SOWs for EPC contractors and to provide engineering oversight of constructionTravel for work up to 20-25% as needed

You Bring:10+ years of energy system design

experience with 7+ years designing C&I Rooftop Solar systems and small (1-10MW) ground-mount systemsA creative and entrepreneurial approach to solving energy/carbon use optimization problems

Experience with energy efficiency, CHP, fuel cells, or other carbon reduction technologies preferred

Experience managing a large portfolio of projects while prioritizing effectively, managing competing expectations, and meeting deadlines

Experienced with PV design tools including Helioscope, PVSyst, and AutoCADProficient with Procore, project management, energy modeling, and MS office toolsExcellent analytical, oral and written communication

skillsLicensed Professional Engineer in electrical, mechanical, or civil preferredBachelor’s degree in engineering required; Master’s Degree preferred

Compensation:The

salary range and bonus for this position will vary depending on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets,

experience, and breadth of contribution to the organization.
