Position Description
This position is responsible for assisting and supporting the Director and Associate Director in departmental planning, various initiatives and monitoring progress. This position will work to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with the rules and regulations. The Assistant Director assists with the managing financial issues, and presents strategic plans to upper level management.

Responsibilities
Lead, direct, and develop team of employees to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives. Oversee 2 campus offices and manage department schedules to ensure appropriate coverage. Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures. Plans, monitors, and appraises job results. Coordinates the recruitment, hiring, and training of staff. Assists with development and evaluations of current employees. Coordinates and reviews Parking & Transportation Services public information, website, and social media communications. Create, optimize, and share engaging content to keep the University community in the know about upcoming projects or events that will affect daily parking. Oversees reserve parking and waiting list program. Collaborates with campus partners, leaders and/or vendors to coordinate the planning and execution of department services including special event parking. Develops and implements operating guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient services and compliance with university and external policies and guidelines. Resolution of customer and operational issuesOversees the day-to-day operations of the department administrative functions. Participates in and makes recommendations regarding strategic planning. In conjunction with the Director & Associate Director, manages service agreements with outside vendors for Parking & Transportation Services. Coordinates and researches the identify of vehicles with parking violations. Provide staff support to the Parking Appeals and Parking Advisory Committees.
