Position

Overview:The Commercial Construction Estimator position is a very important role at RMT. Our estimators are responsible for seeking out new opportunities, estimating construction cost, creating competitive advantages and using a combination of skill and strategic trade partnerships to accurately budget the cost of construction projects. Key

Responsibilities:Complete project budgets and detailed estimates, including detailed quantity take-off and pricing for self performed trades.Perform scope assessments and prepare and issue Scope of Work to bidders.Establish bidder list for each project and issue bid invitations.Distribute bid documents to subs. Post bid documents in online Plan Room using SharePoint.Set up bid forms.Prepare preliminary schedule for bid purposes.Maintain record copy of bid documents.Prepare scope of work for each trade to be used in subcontracts.Prepare bid tabulation for each trade and recommendation for award.Conduct turn over meetings with Project Manager and Superintendent.Assist with Business Development proposals.Organize and prepare written proposals to clients including Letters of Interest, Qualification Statements, and Requests for Proposals.

Qualifications:BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (Preferred).5 -10 years in the lead role, estimating commercia new construction and renovations.Or equivalent combination of

education and

experience.
