Dolphin, Inc., is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer that will proactively support EHS in order to comply with all applicable regulations, to achieve a safe work environment and minimize the impact to the environment.

Shift:This is a full-time position, 4 days a week (Mon.-Thurs., 10 hour shifts).

Essential

DUTIES:Support EHS programs and processes that are safe, environmentally sustainable and meet federal, state and local regulatory compliance

requirements, including, but not limited to, clean air and water, pollution prevention and waste minimization, and testing and evaluation of forklift operators.Identify ergonomic risk and partner with functional teams and engineering to create solutions.Interface with regulatory agencies on EHS matters.Assist with the environmental and safety hazard evaluation of new and proposed buildings, equipment, chemical processes, and product designs, and help determine protective measures for compliance with applicable local, state and federal standards and regulations.Lead company initiatives to minimize its environmental footprint and liability, to include, but not limited to, recycling and waste reduction.Assist department managers, supervisors, and employees with implementation of creative approaches to improve safety, minimize environmental footprint and liability, and implement EHS initiatives.Conduct effective Incident Response to include assessing incident, conducting investigation, determining root cause and implementing necessary changes.Responsible for remaining current within area of expertise relative to the market to include training and professional development.Conduct Industrial Hygiene Exposure Monitoring as needed.

Duties include chemical exposure monitoring, noise exposure monitoring, ergonomic evaluations and recommending proper controls.Conduct and evaluate environmental and safety inspections of the facility.Full-time position requiring regular and consistent attendance.Other

duties as directed by management.

Education And/or

EXPERIENCE:Requires a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or other related field, from a properly accredited college or university, plus a minimum 2 years’ directly related

experience; OR an equivalent combination of

education and

experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:40-hour HAZWOPER or ability to secure certification within 3 months of employmentCurrent Arizona Driver's LicenseMust have clean driving record for past 3 years not to include: more than one accident, DUI/DWI citation, speed violation greater than 20 mph, hit and run or reckless driving citation.Forklift CertificationEHS Certificate preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Good working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulationsMust be self-motivated and work well with minimal supervision.Excellent oral and written communication with analytical, interpersonal, and team

skills.Proven ability to effectively manage, focus, participate, and/or lead cross-disciplinary meetings and problem-solving teams.Excellent decision making, problem solving, and data analysis

skills with a proven ability to complete projects in a timely and successful fashion.Superior organization, project management and record keeping

skills required.Possess an intermediate level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS SharePoint.Working knowledge of ISO 14000 and/or ISO 9000.
